Prof. Dr Tang Tong Boon is currently the Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Prof. Dr Tang Ton Boon was awarded the Mountbatten Medal, a prestigious achievement award from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). In addition, the above recognition was given to his pioneering work on functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) in Malaysia. Prof Dr Tong Boon Tang is also a member of the Governing Board of the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF), and holds the position of HICoE Council Secretary and Chair of the Malaysian branch of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
