Abstract

High demand mushroom are lacking in the market. As such, production of mushroom needs to be expedite. Mushroom cultivation plays an important role to meet this high demand product. Mushroom cultivation is important due to its nutritional value, medicinal value, income generation and employment creation. Currently the mushroom cultivation are just being done in a very primitive way. Due to all these circumstances, it is crucial to upgrade the facilities to increase yield through optimum resources. One of the method is by controlling the climate to expedite and accelerate the growth in mushroom cultivation. Smart Mushroom Cultivation for mushroom cultivation is a project to address the automation in the production of expensive mushroom. The system developed is a smart system to manage the monitoring and control the devices such as sensors and actuators. The system utilizes IoT technology as part of IR 4.0 that consists of sensor technology with feedback system to optimize climate condition for maximum growth. © 2018 IEEE.
