Abstract

Electrodeposition of Iridium Oxide (IrO2) on stainless steel substrate was performed by cyclic voltammetry to assess its performance as pH electrode sensor. The effect of scan rate and numberof cycles on IrO2 thickness and pH sensitivity were investigated by electrochemical experiment. All fabricated pH sensor had a super-Nernstian response value in range of -69.9 to -74.5 mV/pH unit.Electrochemical results indicated iridium oxide decreased electrode impedance which was in direct relation with its thickness. © 2013 by ESG.
