Abstract

Rubberized engineered cementitious composite (RECC) was developed as part of the efforts by researchers to extend the application of ECC beyond its current use as a repair and retrofitting material. Because of the recorded success of crumb rubber (CR) in improving the energy absorption and impact resistance, among other desired properties of concrete, researchers are investigating its influence in ECC under various situations. This paper reviews current research findings on the behavior of RECC and its performance under extreme conditions. © 2023 Author(s).
