  • Dr Al-Yacouby is a faculty member in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia). His research focus is on nonlinear structural mechanics and analysis in association with limit states and risk-based approaches for ships and offshore structures. He has authored more than 60 technical papers including journals and proceedings. He is now interested in structural analysis of subsea systems, floating structures, risers, pipelines, Floating Solar System, Smart Infrastructures, Building Information Modelling, and many others. Dr. Al-Yacouby is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, Dr. Al-Yacouby is also actively involved in the activities of several International Academic & Professional Engineering Bodies. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), member of Institutes of Civil Engineers (ICE), Corporate Member of Concrete Society Malaysia (ID: M0518), member of The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, and Structural Engineering Institute. Since 2018, Dr. Al-Yacouby is actively involved in Research & Consultancy works at The Institute of Autonomous System. His Research Interest Involves Structural Dynamic, Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIVs), Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), Fixed and Floating Offshore Structures, Tall buildings, Smart Infrastructures, Floating Wind Turbines, Floating Solar Systems, Sustainable Development, LCCA, Facilities Management & Strategic Planning for Renewable Energy and Smart Infrastructures.
