This study aims at identifying the students' pre-conceptions and misconceptions about the velocity and acceleration of objects under free fall. A pre-test consisting of multiple choice questions was given to foundations students who had passed their o-level in science before the chapter was discussed in class. A post-test was then conducted at the end of the chapter. Results of pre-test showed the misconceptions students had about acceleration and velocity of an object under free fall. Post-tests results showed that some of the misconceptions were still not corrected even after instructions. {\^A}{\copyright} 2017 IEEE.}, keywords = {Engineering education; Projectiles; Testing, Free fall; misconception; Post test; pretest; Projectile motion, Students}, author = {Zaid, H.
