Two control approaches based on p-q theory and load current detection using phase locked loop (PLL) are proposed. To validate the compensation performance of SAPF the distribution network with nonlinear loads is simulated using MATLAB/Simulink software. Simulation results have proved and validated the performance of SAPF minimizing the total harmonics distortion (THD) and neutral current. ©2010 IEEE. %L scholars988 %D 2010 %P 156-161 %O cited By 13; Conference of 2010 IEEE International Conference on Power and Energy, PECon2010 ; Conference Date: 29 November 2010 Through 1 December 2010; Conference Code:83860 %C Kuala Lumpur %K Harmonics mitigation; Nonlinear load; Three phase four wire systems; Three-phase four-leg; Total harmonic distortions; Voltage source inverter, Electric power factor correction; Harmonic analysis; Harmonic distortion; Wave filters; Wire, Active filters
