TY - CONF AV - none N2 - The exponential growth in the mobile internet traffic is creating challenges for the present service providers to provide quality network mobility management to fulfil the user bandwidth demand. The network mobility management scheme is therefore responsible to provide seamless connection between heterogeneous and homogeneous domains for mobile networks and mobile nodes. Basically, the network mobility management technique uses the similar IP mobility procedure as in the MIPv6. However, these NEMO IP mobility solutions are lacking in good QoS especially in terms of packet delivery cost and end-to-end delay. Moreover, the traversal tunnel between the active nodes are creating additional tunnel cost. Meanwhile, the PMIPv6 scheme is suffering from the single node failure and the packets drop issues. The research community has introduced a new Distributed Mobility Management (DMM) scheme as a promising IP mobility solution to address mobility issues in the conventional IP mobility schemes. We are proposing a new DNMM scheme in this paper that aims to reduce the overall packet delivery cost with the aids of Distributed Local Fix Router (DLFRs) and Regional Access Router (RAR). Our results analysis is focusing on the Packet Delivery Cost (PDC) and Location Update Cost (LUC). The results obtained show that the proposed scheme is more promising than other known schemes. © 2018 IEEE.
