However, the complementary detection scheme can successfully reproduce desired signals for code sequences which have fixed CC. In this paper, a new detection scheme namely XOR subtraction scheme is proposed. This new detection scheme can be used even if the CC is not fixed. In addition, a new encoder/decoder structure based on this new technique using fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) for vector combinatorial code (VCC) is proposed. The performance of the system was characterized by referring to signal to noise ratio (SNR), bit error rate (BER), and Psr. The study also shows that high performance of XOR detection scheme can be achieved even when the number of users is high, while maintaining a good SNR and low BER (10 -14). date: 2010 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-79951980091&doi=10.2316%2fJournal.202.2010.4.202-2881&partnerID=40&md5=6276dc2296e1e211173fd98a124705b1 id_number: 10.2316/Journal.202.2010.4.202-2881 full_text_status: none publication: International Journal of Computers and Applications volume: 32 number: 4 pagerange: 461-468 refereed: TRUE issn: 1206212X citation: Ahmed, H.Y. and Faye, I. and Saad, N.B.M. and Aljunid, S.A.
