Effect of initial pH of reaction mixture (3.5 - 8.5) was observed on SPR absorbance, maximum wavelength (λmax ) and size distribution of AuNPs. Change of pH of reaction mixture from acidic to basic region resulted in appearance of strong SPR absorption peaks and blue shifting of λmax from 533 nm to 522 nm. TEM analysis revealed the formation of predominantly spherical AuNPs with mean diameter of 8.51 nm. Presence of reducing moieties such as flavonoids, phenolic and carboxylic groups in POK extract was confirmed by FTIR analysis. Colloidal solution of AuNPs was remained stable at room temperature and insignificant difference in zeta value was recorded within experimental tenure of 4 months. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. date: 2017 publisher: Institute of Physics Publishing official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85020280543&doi=10.1088%2f1757-899X%2f204%2f1%2f012002&partnerID=40&md5=c503062a761132461be42b0458c1d40c id_number: 10.1088/1757-899X/204/1/012002 full_text_status: none publication: IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering volume: 204 number: 1 refereed: TRUE issn: 17578981 citation: Irfan, M. and Ahmad, T. and Moniruzzaman, M. and Abdullah, B.
