Results obtained from both gel content tests show that degree of cross-linking in amorphous regions is dependent on dose. A significant improvement in tensile strength of neat EVA samples is obtained upon electron-beam radiation up to 210 kGy. Similarly, hardness properties of Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) improvewith increasing electron beam irradiation. This article deals with the impacts of electron beam (EB) irradiation on the properties of LDPE and Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) as the two common based formulations for wire and cable applications. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. date: 2017 publisher: Institute of Physics Publishing official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85020313714&doi=10.1088%2f1757-899X%2f204%2f1%2f012005&partnerID=40&md5=005b90fe505ad7bd9552a62ff1c96f1d id_number: 10.1088/1757-899X/204/1/012005 full_text_status: none publication: IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering volume: 204 number: 1 refereed: TRUE issn: 17578981 citation: Sabet, M. and Soleimani, H.
