The chemical structure for the IL was characterized using NMR (1H and 13C). Thermal properties, surface morphology and functional group of the native bamboo and IL treated bamboo were analyzed by Thermal Gravimetric Anaylysis (TGA), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) respectively. The new IL was able to dissolve up to 5wt% of bamboo biomass within 48 hours and 100°C. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017. date: 2017 publisher: EDP Sciences official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85021362865&doi=10.1051%2fmatecconf%2f201711103002&partnerID=40&md5=7ad5e7acd271ca6b8e0009f23898016b id_number: 10.1051/matecconf/201711103002 full_text_status: none publication: MATEC Web of Conferences volume: 111 refereed: TRUE issn: 2261236X citation: Sultan, N.S.H. and Chellappan, L.K. and Hamzah, W.S.W. and Marc, L.J. and Mutalib, M.I.A.
