The slotted triangular patch shows lower reflection loss compared to a conventional triangular patch antenna. Emphasize is given to lower the reflection loss at the broadside modes. Using this method, the potential of using a slotted triangular patch as a multiband patch antenna is further enhanced. Reduced reflection loss can be obtained not only at the broadside modes' resonant frequencies but also other higher order resonant frequencies. This is achieved by placing triangular slots nearby the magnetic field nulls. The patch antennas are simulated using HP High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). © 2006 IEEE. date: 2006 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-46249098278&doi=10.1109%2fRFM.2006.331066&partnerID=40&md5=8631d1597d3f74c6f7cf8645676a98f0 id_number: 10.1109/RFM.2006.331066 full_text_status: none publication: 2006 International RF and Microwave Conference, (RFM) Proceedings place_of_pub: Putrajaya pagerange: 187-191 refereed: TRUE isbn: 0780397444; 9780780397446 citation: Jeoti, V. and Kua, C.O. and Chyan, L.S.
