"The Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal built on reclaimed land may undergo surface deformation caused by the unconsolidated soil and loading of its heavy structures. Currently, the LNG terminal deformation is monitored using levelling and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) techniques. Physical obstruction and safety issues may prevent the accessibility to the structures of the terminal where the monitoring is required most. This study proposed the state of the art remote satellite-based Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) using Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) technique to perform the deformation monitoring of the above LNG terminal. It does not require intrusion of human and instrument to the monitored structures. The PSI processing results showed the density of persistent scatterer (PS) points extracted from high resolution TerraSAR-X images were high and useful for deformation study of the monitored structures. The deformation trend revealed that the monitored structures experienced relative moderate deformation. © 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London."^^ . "2016" . . "CRC Press/Balkema"^^ . .
