There are many factors contributing to this disease such as ocular surface and tear film problem, age and gender, indoor environment, and computer vision syndrome (CVS). This paper proposes the design of a wearable humidifier for the eyes. Unlike the moisture chamber spectacles, the proposed system is an active device. It can self-regulate according to the indoor relative humidity to produce mist particles that can increase small area humidity level in proximity to the eyes. The electrical module comprises humidity and temperature sensors, micro pump, ultrasonic transducer and a microcontroller. Experiment results proved the design concept and demonstrated that the prototype system could raise relative humidity level by 30 within 4 minutes of activation. © 2015 IEEE. %Z cited By 2; Conference of IEEE International Circuits and Systems Symposium, ICSyS 2015 ; Conference Date: 2 September 2015 Through 4 September 2015; Conference Code:119196
