Research activity in hybrid robotics systems has increased substantially in the last few years. The robotics competition known as Robocon, requires the use of autonomous and hybrid robots that are designed and developed by undergraduate students. A hybrid robot in the context of this paper is defined as the association of a manipulator mechanism mounted on a mobile platform. This paper describes the design of two types of Hybrid Robot Mechanisms. © 2009 IEEE. ER -
