The 93.69 of the tested beams were failed in shear at the re-entrant corners of the dapped-end region. Although many strengthening methods have been used to strengthening the dapped-end region, only the load-deflection relationship of the beams were improved. However, test results of 4 large scale RC dapped-end beams showed that the highest stress concentration factors were recorded at the re-entrant corners compared to other area of the dapped-end region of the beam. © Research India Publications. date: 2015 publisher: Research India Publications official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84973160216&partnerID=40&md5=0a501192bc68c07dbf3bce2ebe68785f full_text_status: none publication: International Journal of Applied Engineering Research volume: 10 number: 22 pagerange: 42927-42933 refereed: TRUE issn: 09734562 citation: Aswin, M. and Mohammed, B.S. and Liew, M.S. and Syed, Z.I.
