Geopolymer was synthesized using sodium hydroxide as activator. SEM studies revealed multiphasous structure of the material, composed of geopolymeric gel, partially reacted fly ashparticles and selectively leached particles. EDX analysis confirmed the chemical composition of different regions. Infra red spectroscopic studies supported the SEM-EDX analysis by confirming presence of unreacted quartzite and mullite in geopolymers. It is concluded that geopolymers possese a non uniform chemistry through out the structure. © 2015 AIP Publishing LLC. date: 2015 publisher: American Institute of Physics Inc. official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85063824651&doi=10.1063%2f1.4919203&partnerID=40&md5=8c4d32a25633ef66d58de99fedd10e24 id_number: 10.1063/1.4919203 full_text_status: none publication: AIP Conference Proceedings volume: 1669 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9780735413160 issn: 0094243X citation: Khan, M.I. and Azizli, K. and Sufian, S. and Man, Z. and Siyal, A.A. and Ullah, H.
