This PET has three stages; the input stage consists of three phases, three level PWM rectifier and isolation stage employing three level half bridge convertor connected with high frequency transformer. The output stage has a matrix converter. This new design of PET has the advantage of improving power factor, voltage sags, voltage swell, reactive power compensation, eliminating harmonic and controlling and Protecting its self (PET) with minimum size, compared to the traditional transformer. The software like MATLAB and Artificial Neural Network will be used to analyze and simulate the PET. © Maxwell Scientific Organization, 2014. date: 2014 publisher: Maxwell Science Publications official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84897407394&doi=10.19026%2frjaset.7.457&partnerID=40&md5=d474a3a75e0c0e0b670d8e576d7ca785 id_number: 10.19026/rjaset.7.457 full_text_status: none publication: Research Journal of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology volume: 7 number: 9 pagerange: 1734-1743 refereed: TRUE issn: 20407459 citation: Ahmed, K.Y. and Yahaya, N.Z. and Asirvadam, V.S.
