This paper states the ongoing research assessing driver's cognitive distraction using simulated driving. The driver's cognitive distraction detection is based on the analysis of EEG signal. A new analysis method based on Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is introduced for the extraction of feature from the Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. Hence, the results obtained consist in high accurate detection of the driver's cognitive state. {\^A}{\copyright} 2014 IEEE.}, keywords = {Feature extraction; Signal detection; Singular value decomposition, Analysis method; Cognitive distractions; Cognitive state; EEG signals; Electroencephalogram signals; Research communities; Simulated driving, Electroencephalography}, url = {https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84906350444&doi=10.1109\%2fICIAS.2014.6869460&partnerID=40&md5=4d3cab33a7f9babf1233b47c49659ee3} }
