Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with high concentration is normally used in geopolymerization. Limited research has been done with low concentration of alkali activator. This study confirms that KOH with low concentration affect the setting time and compressive strength of geopolymer in order to have good mechanical properties. Optimum result was observed at 4.5 M KOH. This result can be further developed to produce geopolymer with low alkaline activator for coating applications. © 2014 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. date: 2014 publisher: Trans Tech Publications Ltd official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84914110224&doi=10.4028%2fwww.scientific.net%2fAMM.625.94&partnerID=40&md5=4c53a69c53553c7c2f83b02c3edd8067 id_number: 10.4028/www.scientific.net/AMM.625.94 full_text_status: none publication: Applied Mechanics and Materials volume: 625 pagerange: 94-97 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9783038351818 issn: 16609336 citation: Rahmiati, T. and Azizli, K.A. and Man, Z. and Ismail, L. and Nuruddin, M.F.
