N2  - In this research, we propose a parallel processing algorithm that runs on cluster architecture suitable for prime number generation. The proposed approach was written using Message Passing Interface (MPI) and is meant to decrease computational cost and accelerate the prime number generation process. Several experimental results conducted using High Performance Linpack (HPL) benchmark are presented to demonstrate the viability of our work. The results suggest that the performance of our work is at par with other parallel algorithms.
