The series of experiments conducted were designed using Design Expert version 8.7.0.1 software for studying the effect of temperature and ionic liquid to oil mass ratio on the performance of naphthalene removal. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) conducted to determine the relationship developed for the two variables above with respect to the naphthalene removal showed a high coefficient of determination (R2) value of (0.9998) hence indicating a very good performance model which can be used for optimizing the extraction process. Based on the results, it shows that 67 percent removal could be achieved with one extraction stage at the optimum condition. © 2014 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. date: 2014 publisher: Trans Tech Publications Ltd official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84914163530&doi=10.4028%2fwww.scientific.net%2fAMM.625.50&partnerID=40&md5=935cf295b256004a9d529a9a70ab5445 id_number: 10.4028/www.scientific.net/AMM.625.50 full_text_status: none publication: Applied Mechanics and Materials volume: 625 pagerange: 50-56 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9783038351818 issn: 16609336 citation: Al Kaisy, G.M.J. and Mutalib, M.I.A. and Bustam, M.A. and Razali, R.B.
