The resulting ferrites were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Single phased Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 was obtained at all calcination temperatures.FESEM Micrographs reveals an increase in the grain size with the increase of the calcination temperature. Consequently, the magnetic saturation of the samples were found to increase with each increase in the calcinations temperature where the highest value obtained is 70.58 emu/g for the samples calcined at 1000°C. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. %R 10.4028/www.scientific.net/AMM.664.75 %D 2014 %L scholars4636 %J Applied Mechanics and Materials %O cited By 1; Conference of 2014 International Conference on Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering, ICMME 2014 ; Conference Date: 6 September 2014 Through 8 September 2014; Conference Code:110639
