The aim of this research is to establish current educators' and learners' contexts, practices, attitudes and prospects for the use of SMTs in teaching, learning and research within HEIs using Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) as a case study. The research was conducted using a mixed-method approach to investigate the use of SMT and the main findings are presented. © 2013 IEEE.
