This paper addresses this problem for large scale mobile traffic control environments. Our solution represents a new binary replication strategy, in terms of its components and approach. The new strategy encompasses two components: replication architecture to provide a solid infrastructure for improving data availability and a multi-agent based replication method to transfer data updates in a manner that achieves the consistency of data. The new strategy is a hybrid of both pessimistic and optimistic replication approaches, in order to exploit the features of each to support higher data availability and lower rate of inconsistencies as well as supports the mobility of users. © 2008 IEEE. date: 2008 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-67649850547&doi=10.1109%2fHONET.2008.4810229&partnerID=40&md5=4ca7d0a7665a253c927ddaac92fcaf74 id_number: 10.1109/HONET.2008.4810229 full_text_status: none publication: 2008 International Symposium on High Capacity Optical Networks and Enabling Technologies, HONET 2008 place_of_pub: Penang pagerange: 163-168 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781424429615 citation: Ahmed, A. and Abdullah, A. and Dominic, P.D.D.
