The integration of this GIS using the multicriteria decision analysis approach provides an environment to the decision makers in citing areas using land suitability analysis procedures. This review paper particularly examines the GIS-based analytic hierarchy process as a multicriteria analysis/evaluation technique in land suitability analysis by means of literature reviews and surveys. © 2012 Saudi Society for Geosciences. date: 2013 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84881450550&doi=10.1007%2fs12517-012-0568-8&partnerID=40&md5=04620a0ed9a2fcc33f420631bc9c94a5 id_number: 10.1007/s12517-012-0568-8 full_text_status: none publication: Arabian Journal of Geosciences volume: 6 number: 8 pagerange: 3059-3066 refereed: TRUE issn: 18667511 citation: Chandio, I.A. and Matori, A.N.B. and WanYusof, K.B. and Talpur, M.A.H. and Balogun, A.-L. and Lawal, D.U.
