COSMO-RS showed quinolinium-based ILs as one of the potential ILs for hydrocarbon desulfurization. In real experiment, 1-butyl-6-methylquinolinium thiocyanate and 1-butyl-6-methylquinoliniumdicyanamide were synthesized and have shown to have the highest desulfurization efficiency in model oil among the ILs investigated. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. date: 2013 publisher: Elsevier Ltd official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84883665781&doi=10.1016%2fj.ces.2013.08.032&partnerID=40&md5=e4b97df89e0b05366b5c3c5c512a59df id_number: 10.1016/j.ces.2013.08.032 full_text_status: none publication: Chemical Engineering Science volume: 102 pagerange: 373-377 refereed: TRUE issn: 00092509 citation: Devi Wilfred, C. and Man, Z. and Phak Chan, Z.
