This marks the location awareness of the node as a critical issue. In this paper we present a novel vision based technique that builds up a local relative coordinate system in one-plane video network without using GPS. One sensor node will present the core of the system and it will start locating some other 2 reference nodes that are randomly deployed using vision characteristic. They, in turn, will participate in locating the entire network with the help of multilateration method and the same vision characteristic. Some vision experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this method. © 2008 IEEE. date: 2008 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-57349124918&doi=10.1109%2fITSIM.2008.4631896&partnerID=40&md5=f84ed852ef0911f2e8200dd13d40a18c id_number: 10.1109/ITSIM.2008.4631896 full_text_status: none publication: Proceedings - International Symposium on Information Technology 2008, ITSim volume: 3 place_of_pub: Kuala Lumpur refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781424423286 citation: Sharif, S.A.M. and Jeoti, V.
