The uptake of CO 2 in the aqueous mixtures of ILs+MEA were determined for a wide range of compositions at pressures between 100 and 1600kPa and at three different temperatures (298.15, 303.15 and 313.15K). For the case of aqueous (bheea)+MEA system, MEA acts as a supporting solvent whereas in the other case, (bmimBF 4) will acts as a supporting solvent for CO 2 capture. The effect of pressure and temperature on CO 2 loading for the aqueous solutions of bheea+MEA and (bmimBF 4)+MEA are discussed in detail. © 2011. date: 2012 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84856359977&doi=10.1016%2fj.cej.2011.09.048&partnerID=40&md5=022d7838247cc38ecc5b1c5aa9d9c2eb id_number: 10.1016/j.cej.2011.09.048 full_text_status: none publication: Chemical Engineering Journal volume: 181-18 pagerange: 56-62 refereed: TRUE issn: 13858947 citation: Taib, M.M. and Murugesan, T.
