Nowadays industries practices are replacing conventional IR and UV detector with more advanced visual fire detector, which are less prone to false alarm, and having similar properties as CCTV camera. Development of the proposed method will follow the conventional protocol of fire detector mapping used by oil and gas industry. Several restriction and limitation have been stated to narrow down the scope to provide more applicable solution. By using multiple views, the proposed method is able to estimate the optimal placement of detector as similar to 3D methods. © 2012 IEEE. date: 2012 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84861542087&doi=10.1109%2fCSPA.2012.6194695&partnerID=40&md5=87716045344e67eb698a309c2f4b7ee1 id_number: 10.1109/CSPA.2012.6194695 full_text_status: none publication: Proceedings - 2012 IEEE 8th International Colloquium on Signal Processing and Its Applications, CSPA 2012 place_of_pub: Melaka pagerange: 80-84 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781467309615 citation: Yang, T.P. and Asirvadam, V.S. and Saad, N.B.
