Surveillance and safety systems with different combinations already has been proposed for critical infrastructures to make them safe and sound. A huge gap is still there to monitor those critical systems in real time and keep them protected from any kind of unwanted approach. Our paper will propose a robust real time surveillance and secure system, for critical oil pipeline infrastructures, with combination of conventional network and wireless sensor network along with microwave network. Our proposed system shows a significant improvement with eleven times more efficient to conventional system by reducing leakage and loss reporting time to control center. Based on simulation tests investigation, proposed system will be more efficient to detect any threats in real time and can report to central control room without any further delay. © IDOSI Publications, 2012. date: 2012 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84864294538&partnerID=40&md5=10dc44b026fa0bed329d9279ce372939 full_text_status: none publication: Middle East Journal of Scientific Research volume: 11 number: 8 pagerange: 1029-1035 refereed: TRUE issn: 19909233 citation: Alsaade, F. and Zaman, N. and Abdullah, A. and Dawood, M.Z.
