Localization of the lesions is first step for counting the lesions. Template matching approach has been widely used for locating the correlated object especially a face in an image. Here we have applied the same approach for localizing the acne lesion. It is a novel approach to count the lesions through by template matching; as no one has used it for localizing the acne. This approach proved to be affective for counting of lesions.
