The analysis is based on experimentally confirmed adsorption isotherms and isosteric heat of adsorption data for n-butane on pitch based activated carbon (type Maxsorb III). The effects of specific cooling effect (SCE) and coefficient of performance (COP) are analyzed with the variation of heat source temperature. Results indicate that the maximum SCE and COP obtained from activated carbon/n-butane based adsorption cycle are 26 kJ/kg and 0.18, respectively. © 2012 IEEE. date: 2012 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84873971035&doi=10.1109%2fSTUDENT.2012.6408358&partnerID=40&md5=c4b350f44c2ca41ec56c874d7d508340 id_number: 10.1109/STUDENT.2012.6408358 full_text_status: none publication: 2012 IEEE Conference on Sustainable Utilization and Development in Engineering and Technology, STUDENT 2012 - Conference Booklet place_of_pub: Kuala Lumpur pagerange: 29-32 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781467317054 citation: Habib, K. and Sitoi, H.
