Zirconia-promoted copper-zinc oxide/alumina catalysts (CZAZ) were prepared by the co-precipitation method. The catalyst was characterized by temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive analysis (FESEM-EDX) and N2 adsorption-desorption. The results showed that addition of ZrO2 reduced the surface area and porosity of the catalyst. The reducibility of the metal oxides formed after calcination of catalyst samples was also affected due to change in metal-support interaction. However the addition of zirconia led to a better dispersion of the active metal on the surface of support material. © 2012 American Institute of Physics. date: 2012 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84874121116&doi=10.1063%2f1.4757449&partnerID=40&md5=4d4ae28fdb7f16559c21bfd155ba4a2b id_number: 10.1063/1.4757449 full_text_status: none publication: AIP Conference Proceedings volume: 1482 place_of_pub: Kuala Lumpur pagerange: 117-121 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9780735410947 issn: 0094243X citation: Shaharun, M.S. and Shaharun, S. and Zabidi, N.A.M. and Taha, M.F.
