A new model for the mass transfer between phases is proposed, and its efficiency in predicting phase transition is evaluated. Numerical simulations are compared with reference solutions computed with the two-fluid models type. The results suggest that the present model exhibits good robustness and accuracy. {\^A}{\copyright} 2012 American Institute of Physics.}, author = {Goncalves, E. and Zeidan, D.}, issn = {0094243X}, isbn = {9780735410947} }
