%X This opening chapter presents a comprehensive introduction that encompasses an exploration of PV/T collectors, underpinned by an in-depth review of the relevant literature. The chapter aims to present the technology and the rationale for using it. Moreover, the classifications of PV/T collectors are presented along with a critical assessment to illuminate the trajectory of PV/T technology.
