The electrochemical measurement method has been utilized in monitoring the behaviour of carbon steel in 0.01 M H2SO4 solution containing different concentrations of H2S. As the concentration of H2S increases, the corrosion rate of the carbon steel also increases. This is due to the fact that the hydrogen evaluation reaction has been encouraged as the H2S accelerated in proportional of H2S concentration. On the other hand, under CO2âH2S condition it shows a different trend compared to the H2S-only condition. As the concentration of H2S increases, the corrosion rate decreased. © Institute of Technology PETRONAS Sdn Bhd (Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS) 2024. date: 2024 publisher: Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85188664136&doi=10.1007%2f978-981-99-5946-4_24&partnerID=40&md5=c7045953db85e0e7f0cf690842829b39 id_number: 10.1007/978-981-99-5946-4₂₄ full_text_status: none publication: Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering pagerange: 299-307 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9789819959457 issn: 21954356 citation: Lah, N.F.C. and Yusoff, P.S.M.M. and Yogaraj, J.R. and Mustapha, M. and Delan, E.H. and Yee, J.F.F.
