"As an alternative to physical and chemical synthesis, green synthesis of metal nanoparticles provides a non-toxic way to create nanoparticles. The goal of this study is to create silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by combining lignin as a reducing agent, which is extracted from Cocos Nucifera (coconut) husks and screened their photocatalytic activity for the removal of methylene blue (MB) dye. UV�Visible and FTIR spectroscopy were used to analyse the synthesised AgNPs, while TEM and FESEM-EDX were used to screen the surface morphology. TEM and SEM evidenced that the AgNPs resultant is sphere-shaped, with a particle size in the range of 20�40 nm. The photocatalytic activity of the AgNPs alongside NaBH4 to degrade MB was then evaluated. According to the findings, the AgNPs degraded the MB by 90.60 in just 30 min.
