The code construction design is flexible since the number of user and weight can easily be increased using mapping and transformation method respectively .The performance of the system with the proposed code is simulated and analyzed using Optisys 5.0 in comparison the distance of network used. Besides, ZCC code demonstrates an excellent performance of BER since it was designed in such that no cross correlation between the users. In other words element of Phase Induced Intensity Noise (PIIN) is eliminated. The results show that by using ZCC code the distance can achieve up to 100km with acceptable BER. The combination of direct decoding also contribute a great effect to the overall system performance.©2007 IEEE. date: 2007 type: Conference or Workshop Item type: PeerReviewed identifier: Anuar, M.S. and Aljunid, S.A. and Saad, N.M. and Mohammed, A. and Babekir, E.I.
