"Sustainable education is a big concern to protect the planet from natural catastrophes. Environmental awareness and knowledge can play a significant role in mitigating and reducing these calamities. This paper aims to measure the role of social media to influence environmental knowledge and awareness of education for sustainable development in Malaysia. Moreover, innovative technologies, such as social media, can be used effectively to raise environmental concerns among educational institutes. Different platforms have been used in enhancing environmental education but social media have been rarely used to enhance environmental awareness and knowledge. So, this study conceptualizes and investigates the idea of social media to enhance sustainable education by environmental knowledge and awareness. The educational sector is critical to educating and enhancing students� awareness about sustainable environments. Therefore, the paper�s objective is to examine the impact of social media on environmental knowledge and awareness in educational institutes in Malaysia.
