N2 - The traditional hard-switching converters are afflicted by the limitations just like the upper restriction on switching frequency, high electromagnetic interference (EMI), more switching losses, large length, extended Weight, and the occasional performance. To overcome those boundaries, resonant converters are popularly utilized in Chargers of electric cars (EVs). But, the detailed type of resonant converters used in EVs isn't sufficiently discussed in the literature. LLC resonant converter is able to achieve wide operation and allows soft-switching operation. This work discusses a Sic Bidirectional electric vehicle charger with an LLC converter with different modes of operation proposed to allow for higher efficiency and greater compatibility with the grid and vehicles. A charger voltage is designed to be 40-400V and achieves 96 of efficiency at 6.6KW. © 2023 Author(s).
