In this study, a simple and rapid sample preparation method based on ultrasound-assisted salt-induced liquid-liquid microextraction (UA-SI-LLME) followed by high performance liquid chromatographydiode array detection (HPLC-DAD) was developed for the determination of triclosan, triclocarban and methyl-triclosan in water. Parameters that affect the extraction efficiencysuch as type and mass of salt, type and volume of extraction solvent, extraction time, sample pH and sample volumewere studied. Under the optimized conditions, the method demonstrated linearity from 0.18 to 1000 µg L1 with coefficients of determination R2 0.9899, limits of detection from 0.05 to 0.2 µg L1, and good recoveries (> 70) with relative standard deviations < 10. The method was applied for the determination of triclosan, triclocarban, and methyl-triclosan in swimming pool, lake, and wastewater. The greenness of the method was quantified using the Analytical Eco-Scale Index. © 2022 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. date: 2022 publisher: Taylor and Francis Ltd. official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85106048229&doi=10.1080%2f00032719.2021.1919691&partnerID=40&md5=99bca6089af6dce8d4b978af059f1588 id_number: 10.1080/00032719.2021.1919691 full_text_status: none publication: Analytical Letters volume: 55 number: 1 pagerange: 132-145 refereed: TRUE issn: 00032719 citation: Rozaini, M.N.H. and Saad, B. and Yahaya, N. and Lim, J.W. and Mohd Aris, M.N. and Ramachandran, M.R.
