Such an enormous amount of greenhouse gas on our planet has been the primary source to cause climate change and environmental devastations, including droughts, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, etc. The depletion of petroleum resources and stringent ecological regulation at present must inspire the whole world to work jointly for the development of an alternative and green fuel to replace fossil fuels. The top agenda to overcome this global concern is the sequestration of carbon from pre-and post-combustion as well as oxyfuel combustion. Thus, this chapter comprehensively reviews the current progress and advancements of CO2 conversion into valuable fuels, including methane, dimethyl ether, methanol, gasoline, and others. However, further intensive research is needed to obtain economic and commercially viable conversion operations. {\^A}{\copyright} 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.}, author = {Farooqi, A.
