This information is important to various safety applications i.e. cooperative collision warning, emergency electronic brake lights etc. For smooth functionality of these applications it is necessary that SBs be properly delivered to neighboring vehicles. This study explores the single-hop V2V periodic safety beacons loss rate and its causes through extensive simulations. Simulations are carried out in Network Simulator 2 using deterministic (Two-Ray Ground) and probabilistic (Nakagami) propagation environments. © 2011 IEEE. date: 2011 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84857070600&doi=10.1109%2fNatPC.2011.6136321&partnerID=40&md5=749c111e516e682f5c6ad18d7aa04043 id_number: 10.1109/NatPC.2011.6136321 full_text_status: none publication: 2011 National Postgraduate Conference - Energy and Sustainability: Exploring the Innovative Minds, NPC 2011 place_of_pub: Perak refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781457718847 citation: Mughal, B.M. and Wagan, A.A. and Hasbullah, H.
