It also gives an overview of the favorable conditions to determine the hydrate formers in the hydrate-based desalination process. Using additives to enhance hydrate formation has been proven as an effective technique to advance the use of hydrate technology during the last two decades, and typically consists of kinetic promoters and thermodynamic promoters. It gives insights into the potential hydrate formers for hydrate-based desalination that can enhance the rate of hydrate formation. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. date: 2022 publisher: wiley official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85148149230&doi=10.1002%2f9781119866145.ch4&partnerID=40&md5=205be43b7389a9cdedc65599e478f471 id_number: 10.1002/9781119866145.ch4 full_text_status: none publication: Gas Hydrate in Water Treatment: Technological, Economic, and Industrial Aspects pagerange: 55-76 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781119866145; 9781119866114 citation: Nallakukkala, S. and Lal, B.
