The literature review of the proposed models reveals that the production of gas hydrate is affected not only by gas composition and free water concentration, but also by temperature and pressure. Further application of artificial intelligence in desalination efficiency is also discussed. A literature review based on kinetic models for hydrate formation has been discussed. Hybrid machine learning techniques are suggested for finding the optimum process parameters, such as pollutant removal efficiency and higher water recovery. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. date: 2022 publisher: wiley official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85148171207&doi=10.1002%2f9781119866145.ch5&partnerID=40&md5=0618410dd75992b0532ba6f368434875 id_number: 10.1002/9781119866145.ch5 full_text_status: none publication: Gas Hydrate in Water Treatment: Technological, Economic, and Industrial Aspects pagerange: 77-111 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781119866145; 9781119866114 citation: Nallakukkala, S. and Lal, B.
