However, there is a global clean water shortage due to increased industrial activities, population explosion, flooding, and water pollution. This has tremendously increased water-associated disease, especially in developing and third world countries. One of the effective ways to improve primary healthcare is through adequate clean water supply which can be achieved through desalination. Thus, in this study, a hybrid solar desalination system was developed to provide clean water for households. The system has shown high efficiency and effectiveness in providing clean water of about 20L/m2.day. An increase in such systems can improve the global clean water supply and reduce water-related diseases and environmental degradation. © 2022 The Authors N1 - cited By 2 TI - The role of desalination and contribution of hybrid solar desalination system towards primary health care ID - scholars16141 AV - none ER -
