RIBs have been produced by semi-automatic interlocking pressing machine. This study aimed to extend previous research on the characteristics of newly developed RIBs. The initial rate of suction, dry density, efflorescence, thermal conductivity, and the elevated temperature was conducted. It was found that RIBs exhibited a lower density and higher initial rate of suction, as well as better thermal conductivity. The RIBâs compressive strength decreased while the porosity increased with the increase in the elevated temperature. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2021. date: 2021 publisher: Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85100702182&doi=10.1007%2f978-981-33-6311-3_72&partnerID=40&md5=12dec5386a5532303e038b5e4d5d35fe id_number: 10.1007/978-981-33-6311-3₇₂ full_text_status: none publication: Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering volume: 132 pagerange: 631-639 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9789813363106 issn: 23662557 citation: Mohammed, B.S. and Al-Fakih, A. and Liew, M.S.
