"The application of 10 crumb rubber and 56 fly ash to partial replacement of fine aggregations and cement, respectively, by volume has formed rubberized interlocking bricks (RIBs). RIBs have been produced by semi-automatic interlocking pressing machine. This study aimed to extend previous research on the characteristics of newly developed RIBs. The initial rate of suction, dry density, efflorescence, thermal conductivity, and the elevated temperature was conducted. It was found that RIBs exhibited a lower density and higher initial rate of suction, as well as better thermal conductivity. The RIBs compressive strength decreased while the porosity increased with the increase in the elevated temperature. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2021."^^ .
